Gravity Cars

On February 15th, we were proud to host the First Annual School District Gravity Car Challenge. More than 100 grade six and seven students (plus their parents, grandparents, teachers and siblings) came out to the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit to complete. Using physics concepts, design and engineering skills, these students were challenged to build the fastest car that would be propelled by gravity alone. Only the top eight from each school competed in the district challenge, and the top four moved on to the regional competition. We love hosting events like gravity cars and seeing the creativity and ingenuity of local kids put to work.
